Here are two more from Antelope Canyon. The first is a sun beam that appeared just at noon when the sun is directly over the canyon opening. This is one shot many try to get and I positioned myself at this spot well in advance. The second gives you an idea of how narrow the canyon is. The entry if relatively large but the rest of it looks much like the second photo. Next stop Monument Valley.
Very nice photos John. Great colors and control of light and textures. The only minor issue I have with the first is that the light beam clips the rock outcropping about 2/3rds of the way down the frame. I am not sure if I like that or not.
Mark, agree somewhat. I don’t think it’s perfect but I had people all around me and didn’t have any room to move. I wanted to get it hitting the ground buy not possible this time. However, a very good reason to go again. Thanks for looking and your comments. They’re appreciated. Lots to learn.
Yeah sometimes it is difficult to convey how difficult it was and the effort it took to get a particular shot. But the challenge is what makes it all fun. As I noted in your previous Antelope Canyon post, I have heard it is a madhouse at the upper portion. Totally understandable that you did not get the spot you wanted. Often times, you have to take what you are given, but the most important thing is that you are enjoying the journey.
My husband took a picture in this same breathtaking place! Thanks for liking my Washington Park post……namaste…..Anne
A remarkable place to see and shoot.
