Attending Royal Albert Hall to hear a performance of Tchaikovsky played by the Royal London Philharmonic Orchestra was one of the highlights of our recent visit to London. These round objects are fiberglass acoustic diffusers and were installed in the ceiling to reduce the echo effect. They also make for an interesting photo.

So were the acoustics exceptional thanks to those round pancakes? I wish I could have heard the concert.
Yes. The sound reverberated throughout the hall. At the end of 1812 cannon and fireworks were fired and released. Very emotional ending.
