Tide coming in along the cliffs of Pismo Beach
The storms continue to roll through the Central Coast of California making the coastline fun to shoot.
These turtles come onto Ho’okipa Beach nearly every afternoon and rest for 6 hours or so before returning to the sea. What looks like 4-wheel drive tracks are from the turtles as they come ashore.
Heavy rain on Maui results in rain running off the hills into the ocean. The brown section of water in the photo shows the result of that runoff.
Visiting Maui this week and have had a lot of rain. Tried shooting some black and white. This blowhole is on the northwest part of the island above Kapalua on highway 30.
I posted an earlier shot of the rocks of Pismo Beach. This was taken from on the same spot but facing south into the sun. It cried out to be in Black and White.
Heavy rain and winds were forecast this afternoon so I got out early to shoot the rocks along the Pismo Beach shoreline while there was a little sun.
I’m spending some time in Maui and took this photo of Lanai this morning. I did a similar shot a couple of years ago and found the spot I took it from to be nearly the same. Often times winds, wave action, and tropical storms move things around.
No, just the rocks jutting out from the beach at Montana de Oro State Park near Los Osos, CA.
This pier is located near the small town of Vierville-sur-Mer and is at the west end of Omaha Beach. Just to the right of the pier is where elements of the US Army 5 Corps landed on D Day.
