At long last the rain has come to the central coast of California coloring the hills with green.
This field of wildflowers is just north of Shell Creek Road.
Shell Creek Road, SE of Paso Robles California, is a photogenic area that I like to visit in the spring.
Heavy rain and winds were forecast this afternoon so I got out early to shoot the rocks along the Pismo Beach shoreline while there was a little sun.
Geese are uncommon here so these are just passing through and getting a head start on their journey.
This photo was taken into the sun with a ND filter and looks OK in color but I like it better in Black and White.
There is a remote area inland from the Central Coast that becomes yellow after it rains.
The Central Coast of California has been short of rain the last couple of years but we’ve had some recently and this is how things look.
Avila Bay is not far from where I live and I need to get out there more often. I have a photographer friend who calls it “his office”. I used a little longer exposure to slightly blur the water.
