Most people stop to watch the surfers from Maui’s Hookipa Beach Lookout which is fun to do. If, however, you walk around the corner to the right there a trail down to lava rocks and the crashing sea. What I found interesting was this old barbed wire fence that separates the public portion and the adjacent private property.
Montana de Oro State Park is a place I go to often. Always with a camera but also for walking and enjoying. There are miles of trails and paths with several inaccessible beaches with interesting rock formations. This is the one I’d really like to get down to.
