Tide coming in along the cliffs of Pismo Beach
The storms continue to roll through the Central Coast of California making the coastline fun to shoot.
Yesterday the clouds cleared and provided a good opportunity to capture the Gazebo in Pismo Beach. This is a popular and busy spot for weddings during the summer but pretty quiet now. In the far left background you can see the pier.
Heavy rains starting tomorrow lasting for several day so I wanted to get a beach walk in this afternoon.
We’ve had a series of storms coming through the Central Coast and the waves have been pretty big. Driving home today I stopped and took a quick shot from one of the overlooks.
I posted an earlier shot of the rocks of Pismo Beach. This was taken from on the same spot but facing south into the sun. It cried out to be in Black and White.
Heavy rain and winds were forecast this afternoon so I got out early to shoot the rocks along the Pismo Beach shoreline while there was a little sun.
This shot was taken into the sun and with a long exposure trying to get some drama.
Early morning sun is painting the clouds a little pink in this long exposure shot.
