The sun rises over Boston Harbor.
I’m spending some time in Maui and took this photo of Lanai this morning. I did a similar shot a couple of years ago and found the spot I took it from to be nearly the same. Often times winds, wave action, and tropical storms move things around.
Avila Bay is not far from where I live and I need to get out there more often. I have a photographer friend who calls it “his office”. I used a little longer exposure to slightly blur the water.
The Chateau De la Barre has been in the Vanssay family since the 1400’s and was our home base while touring the Loire Valley. One of the remaining battlements that still exists on the property is shown here about to catch the morning light.
After touring Normandy we rented a car and drove to the Chateau De la Barre near Saint Calais in the Loire Valley. This was our first morning taken from the window in our room.
The rising sun just hitting Lanai this morning. Taken from this rocky beach on Ka’anapali.
I’m visiting Maui again and took a early morning walk along the shore. The catamarans in the backgrount take the snorkelers out each day to the various reefs.
Having grown up in Sedona and with family still living in the area I get there often. I always devote one morning watching the sun rise on Bell Rock.
Early morning sun is painting the clouds a little pink in this long exposure shot.
I was up early today and hiked to a favorite spot. It’s mornings like these that makes me so happy to be on this glorious earth.
